Still working on this new theme

So I’m working on this Mimbo theme, and trying to get photographs to show up in the featured box. So here’s a photo from summer vacation (remember summer?)
Upgraded to WP 2.5, theme changing
I’ve updated this weblog to version 2.5 of WordPress, and I’m going to be tweaking the design over the next week or so (hopefully).
Updates to Academic Resources
I have re-uploaded a PDF of “Interpretive Communities: Beyond ‘Mass’ Communication,” an overview of interpretive community theory I wrote for a theory class at USC. It is now available again in the Academic Resources page at the top of this page.
Hope you find it useful.
Revisiting the scope of this blog
The few people who actually check this site will probably know that I spend most of my time blogging at another site: Innovation in College Media. That site is specifically geared toward a certain audience, and certain topics in media.
In the coming days, I hope to use this site as a place to collect thoughts about more general topics, including aspects of the media that don’t really fit into the scope of the other weblog. It will mean linking to a lot of other people out there blogging about media, and building another audience. Part experiment, part further exploration of the blogging platform. We’ll see how it works. Stay tuned.
Take 2
Recent events with my hosting company caused my earlier home site to malfunction, so I am in the rebuilding phase. I hope this won’t happen again. In the coming days, I’ll be uploading content that got misplaced in the shuffle.
