I’m teaching two sections of Intro to Multimedia Journalism. Both are full. After a year of tweaking, I think I’ve finally got the format down to something that works well. This semester, I am contemplating switching back to iMovie ‘09 instead of using Final Cut Express for the video portion of the class, since Apple decided to put back an easy way to do cutaways into the new version. I don’t have to make the decision for about six weeks, so we’ll see.

Meanwhile, the dissertation is rolling again. I’m confident it will get finished this semester. Travelwise, I’ll be going to Edmonton, Canada next week for the Canadian University Press Convention (brrr!). Two weeks after that I’ll be at Texas Tech. Chicago two weeks after that. A trip to St. Louis later in the month. And at the end of the semester, I WILL be in Columbia, S.C. getting a hood!
